Our Vision

Paint the Diamond Pink! was created to give local women the chance to play softball in a supportive and empowering environment. Our goal for the tournament is two-fold: to fundraise for a great cause (Breast Treatment Task Force!) and for our players to have a great day meeting their teammates and playing a sport they love. For our tournament, we put together evenly balanced teams to encourage competition and enable all players to play whatever positions they choose. We hope you join us this year for another fun-filled day of Sunday softball and woman power!

Our Story

Kelly and Sylvia met playing softball in Astoria back in 2015. We each brought a different passion to the creation of Paint the Diamond Pink! - for Kelly, it was the desire to have a softball game where women would be encouraged to play to their strengths and not limited by their sex. For Sylvia, the idea of an all-women event was ideal to fundraise for a female-centric cause. Through our shared dedication to creating a positive and fun space for women, we’ve grown PTDP from a single game with friends to a tournament of 50+ women. PTDP has become akin to a holiday for us and we hope it becomes one for you as well.
